The Division of Physical Therapy is proud to announce that Dr. Steven Wolf is the 2019 recipient of the Dean’s Distinguished Faculty Lecture and Award. This award is among the most prestigious and celebratory honor that the School of Medicine can bestow on a faculty member. Nominees are judged on the significance and impact of their scholarly work, the academic ideals embodied by their careers, and their ability to deliver an exemplary lecture with broad appeal. With this award Dr. Wolf joins a group of extremely accomplished individuals who have previously received the award as the epitome of a distinguished faculty member.
Dr. Wolf is a world expert in Physical Therapy, a prolific and innovative researcher and leader who has made seminal contributions to patient care, is a sought after lecturer and teacher who has been a valued mentor to students, residents and faculty. Dr. Wolf’s research has been widely disseminated via more than 300 publications; he has also authored or co-authored nine books that have become major pillars in the fields of physical therapy and rehabilitation medicine. His appearances on National Public Radio and CNN among other media outlets, indicating his ability to communicate and engage with multidisciplinary audiences.
The award will be presented on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:30 pm in the Emory University School of Medicine (Room 110) followed by a reception.
