Your gift to the program matters.
Here is how you impact our students’ academic and professional development:
“Receiving my acceptance letter to Emory University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program was one of the happiest days of my life. I was thrilled to be accepted to such an amazing and prestigious school, but I can’t deny that the cost of attending this program, or any post-graduate education, was intimidating. I am forever grateful to have received a scholarship to help me during my academic career at Emory. The scholarship I received allowed me to focus less on how I was going to pay for school and more on how I was going to perform in school. I am continuously appreciative of the scholarship I received and all the opportunities it allowed me to have throughout my time in the program.”
“Being a recipient of the Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship was a true blessing. Growing up in a small South Carolina farming town, I had only dreamed of attending Emory University’s School of Medicine for my doctoral degree.
This scholarship allowed me the ability to focus less on financial worry and more on my education. With this scholarship, I was afforded opportunities and experiences I never thought possible as I journeyed to Johns Hopkins Hospital and Texas Children’s Hospital for clinical rotations. I was also able to give back to communities in need with service trips to Valdosta, GA and Jamaica. These experiences, Emory’s didactic education, and this scholarship have allowed me to be transformed into the clinician I am with my DPT.”
